A two-in-one system
The system employs two bags that work together. The Special Forces 1 Bag keeps you comfortable when the temperatures are above freezing, while the Special Forces 2 Bag is rated for temperatures approaching -10°C.
If the thermometer drops lower than that, then simply insert one into the other, use the robust zip baffle to join the two together, and you’ve created a single, integral unit that protects you against temperatures down to -20°C.
However, don’t worry about additional bulk or weight, because the Snugpak Special Forces Complete System is crafted from a unique Paratex Steelplate outer shell with a Softie Premier filling that’s strong, lightweight and exceptionally warm.
So including your compression sack, the entire system compacts down to just 30x27cm and weighs just 3200g. Yet it’s so strong (including its reinforced foot) that you can sleep comfortably with your boots on.
